Interesting facts about Seaglass= Sea Glass takes 20-40 years, and sometimes as much as 100-200 years to acquire its characteristic texture and shape. Sea glass is weathered pieces of the anthropogenic glass (now that's a SAT word!) fragments from drinkware's, bottles and tableware, or even shipwrecks!
What is a cowry= Various sizes and over 200 varieties of sea snails that live-in tropical waters, especially in Pacific waters! They have a glossy, colorful, oval shaped shell that are smooth and lightweight, with a toothed opening on the other side. Unlike most shells, cowries are built from the outside in, which makes the surface smooth! They symbolize fertility, wealth, prosperity and protection.
What is a cone shell? = Marine snail with about 800 different species ranging from 1.3cm to 21.6 cm! They are cone shaped, very colorful with detailed patterns, and mostly in tropical waters. Some are highly venomous, so be very careful when picking one up. We NEVER take live shells.
