Your ankle will be so happy to show off this Maui anklet featuring 3 different varieties of shells! The trio of shells include sea glass, a tiny cone shell finished with a super-tiny puka shell at the base, and adorable baby cowry. There are still grains of sand in the cowry and 1 grain in the cone shell! The variety of colors are so sweet, and this is a great display of what mother Maui's ocean is filled with.

All shells found by me, or my best friend!

This chain is 18K gold-plated stainless steel embellished with tiny white enamel beads finished with a 14K Gold-filled Spring clasp and 14K Gold-filled 1" extension.

One of the cool things about this chain, is that it is tarnish-free, water-resistant and hypo-allergenic.

Finished with signature, engraved Lahaina Girl jewelry tag in brushed gold with embedded CZ.

Interesting facts about Seaglass= Sea Glass takes 20-40 years, and sometimes as much as 100-200 years to acquire its characteristic texture and shape. Sea glass is weathered pieces of the anthropogenic glass (now that's a SAT word!)  fragments from drinkware's, bottles and tableware, or even shipwrecks! 

What is a cowry= Various sizes and over 200 varieties of sea snails that live-in tropical waters, especially in Pacific waters! They have a glossy, colorful, oval shaped shell that are smooth and lightweight, with a toothed opening on the other side. Unlike most shells, cowries are built from the outside in, which makes the surface smooth! They symbolize fertility, wealth, prosperity and protection.

What is a cone shell? = Marine snail with about 800 different species ranging from 1.3cm to 21.6 cm!  They are cone shaped, very colorful with detailed patterns, and mostly in tropical waters. Some are highly venomous, so be very careful when picking one up. We NEVER take live shells.
